Meet The Author

Frank Holtzer has been called "an international adventurer" and "a Lothario of some note." Well, at least he makes those engrandized claims. As an experienced journalist, he's covered poverty in Port-au-Prince, Oktoberfest beer bashes in Munich, the swinging Carnaby Street scene in London, independence in the Bahamas, and the drug trade in Mexico. He's hiked across glaciers in Switzerland, whitewater rafted in Deliverance country, whalewatched in Hawaii, hunted submarines with the US Navy in the Gulf, cave explored in Appalachia, and treasure hunted in the Caymans. He swears that many of the risqué stories in his books are true. You decide.

What do you like best about writing?

Getting the words down on paper. Or these days onto a computer screen.

Which author has inspired you the most?

Ernest Hemingway. Not so much his fiction as his war correspondence. Made me want to be a journalist. And Ann Rice, whose writing showed me that one author could produce both serious literature and erotic fiction.
