Meet The Author

Elizabeth Ritter received a bachelor’s degree from Penn State and a law degree from The George Washington University. She practiced law in D.C. for 25 years and taught for many years at Georgetown University Law Center, specializing in financial market law. Elizabeth received appointments as legal counsel to six Presidential appointees in four administrations, and is a member of the D.C. Bar and the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States. Elizabeth is married to Dave L. Gonzales, retired Executive Director of the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum in Key West, FL, and the couple lived on the museum property for seven years. They have three children, Katie, Erik, and Drake. Elizabeth and Dave reside in Key West, FL and Boalsburg, PA.
